Refund Policy

we honour the 14-day cooling-off period under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and equivalent EU consumer protection regulations. here's exactly how it works.

14-day cooling-off period

If you purchase the Extended Forecast ($1.99) or Cosmic Calendar ($4.99) and change your mind, you have 14 calendar days from the date of purchase to request a full refund — for any reason or no reason at all.

Within that window, refund requests are processed automatically without questions.

One important note about instant-delivery digital goods

Under UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 § 37, your right to cancel a digital download can be waived if you explicitly consent to the supply beginning before the cooling-off period ends and acknowledge that doing so waives the right to cancel.

At our checkout, we do not ask you to waive your right to cancel. This means even though the Extended Forecast / Cosmic Calendar content is delivered to your browser instantly upon payment, your right to a 14-day refund remains intact.

You may continue to use the content during the 14-day window and still request a refund, though we trust customers to use this in good faith and not as a routine practice.

How to request a refund

  1. Email hello@eras.lol with the subject "Refund request"
  2. Include the email address you used at checkout (so we can match the transaction with our payment provider)
  3. Optionally tell us why — feedback helps us improve, but it is not required
  4. We will confirm the refund within 2 business days. The refund will appear on your card within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank

You can also contact our payment provider directly. Refunds are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. If you are unable to reach us by email, you can request a refund through Paddle's customer support at paddle.net using the same email address you used at checkout.

What happens to my unlocked content after a refund?

Your purchase flag is stored in your browser's localStorage. After a refund, you may continue to see the unlocked content in that browser until you clear browser data or take the quiz again. We do not actively revoke access — but the refunded content is no longer licensed for use, and we ask you to refrain from sharing it as a paid customer would.

We do not require a specific reason for refund requests under 14 days. Beyond that, we exercise reasonable judgment and tend to err on the side of the customer.

Currency and exchange rates

Refunds are processed in the same currency you paid in. If your bank converted USD to your local currency at checkout, you may receive a slightly different local-currency amount on refund due to exchange-rate movements between the purchase and refund dates. This is a function of your bank's foreign-currency policy, not ours.

Chargebacks

If you have a refund concern, please contact us first by email — we are friendly and respond within 1-2 business days. Chargebacks initiated through your bank without prior contact may result in additional fees being charged to us by the payment processor; we may pass these on to repeat offenders, but never to first-time customers.

Taxes

VAT, sales tax, or GST collected at checkout (for UK, EU, US, AU, CA, etc.) is included in your refund. We do not retain any portion of taxes for refunded transactions; our payment provider remits these to the appropriate tax authority and your refund is processed gross of tax.
